I never really "cooked" in America. I "heated up". It was quick. It was easy. It was not cheap. And it was not always good. Here, that's not an option. Yes, it takes much more time. But, it tastes so much better, and is so much cheaper. It also feels like a great accomplishment when you're done. Some of my latest successes...
~Turkish beans and rice
~chips and salsa
~brownies
~lasagna
~banana pudding
~maple syrup and waffles
~hashbrowns
~quesadillas
~mashed potatoes
And, thanks to Mom's import service...Pecan crusted chicken. You can't get pecans here, so I'm pretty excited about my newly arrived pound of pecans for all my favorite holiday desserts. Thanks, Mom!
