Geldik!

We made it to Istanbul!! It's so surreal being back after 2 years with my mom and DAD!! This is mom's second trip, but dad's first and FIRST plane trip ANYWHERE! He's such a trooper. What a way to take your first plane ride! We didn't have any trouble as we traveled from Little Rock to Chicago to London to Istanbul. We are missing one piece of luggage, but it was the piece that just had extra stuff and goodies for friends here. So, we are bummed that it hasn't made it yet, but have everything we need until it gets here. So PTL.

We started our time here with a very authentic Turkish dinner...tavla players all around us, short tables with benches and old school Turkish cushions, Nargile smoke surrounding us, and a fantastic mix of kababs. I was at home again! And amazingly Dad LOVED his first Turkish meal. Pretty impressive for the guy who doesn't even like spaghetti...meat and potatoes all the way for him. But God can change anyone. :-) Afiyet olsun!

So, now I'm off to breakfast. I have some great pictures but no time to download them now. Thanks so much for all your powerful thoughts as we traveled here yesterday! They were felt!!
