A Turkish trip to Sonic

Although some of you may not fully understand the glories of Sonic, many of you absolutely get it. Most of my life a daily or almost daily trip to the Sonic for a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper or Slush or Cherry Limeade or some other flavorful soda was a foundational part of my friendships. So over here Sonic is one of my American treats that I miss. However, it has occurred to me that the local cay (chai=tea) house is my Turkish Sonic. Most days are not complete without visiting with a friend over several glasses of cay. Here are a couple of pictures of the typical glass of tea and the oh so comfy table it is shared on.

Ok, I'm pretty sure Iced tea isn't on the menu over there....so what is that floating in your glass??
Love all the pics (and my mind's eye is having a good time with the stories you didn't illustrate!)

I enjoy your wonderful sentiment of that lovely flavored soda that is so readily available in the States. But, a hot bardak of cay is wonderful on a cold winters day!!!

you need to join the "i live in a place where there is no sonic" or something like that. look at the groups i'm a part of. when i go home i go to sonic a minimum of twice a day, but it's more like three times because i. love. sonic. . . .just about more than breathing!
